I go a whole two months without one update that I now work for Voy Media, but at least I’m making up for it with a whole one panel comic (hang on a minute, that’s not right – hey, at least it’s in colour).

Hourly Comic Day was instigated by John Campbell nearly ten years ago and has grown into something of an institution. The idea is that you draw a quick comic detailing your day every hour and post them online. Sounds simple but it’s strangely fascinating. I’ve wanted to do it for quite a while now, but am usually working. However, I happened to have a day off this year (yeah for the triple dip recession) and managed to plunge in. I only managed eight comics, so it’s not quite the full hourly comic experience, but it’ll do for a first attempt. My daughter even joined in with one and, naturally, hers is the best, so I’ve saved it till last.
There are plenty to enjoy more over at The Beat (I particularly enjoyed Dan Berry’s).
Just a reminder that Friday 18th May is going to be the third Dialogue Free Comics Day where we try to get as many webcomics as possible to post a wordless comic. More details here if you’d like to join in.
My other webcomic, Milton’s Life, turned two years old at the weekend and to celebrate, I’m giving away free (yes free) drawings of Milton with any purchase over £2/$3. So, if you make a purchase, just email me ([email protected]) with what you’d like to see Milton doing. Please bear in mind the limits of my artistic ability. If you ask for a picture of Milton riding a surfing velociraptor whilst having a light sabre fight with Darth Maul, it’ll probably end up looking a bit shit.
Drawings will be done on A5 paper in B&W.
If you’ve going to be in the vicinity of Bradford this weekend, then pop along to Hand Made where I’ll be taking part in the Loosely Bound Zine Extravaganza. I’ll be selling copies of my DJ Bogtrotter and Milton’s Life collections and maybe even doing some more hand drawn stickers.
The Zine Extravaganza is part of the launch of Fabric’s brand new ‘Hand Made in Bradford’ arts space, and also coincides with the official launch of Bradford City Park just across the road from the space, with lots of events happening. There are more than 25 stallholders taking part so the event promises to be an exciting one.
A full list of the stall holders is available here.
The event is from 10am till 4pm. The address is

Hey everybody – notice the new link in the menubar? Yes, that’s right, I’ve now got a shop, so you can pay to have like real paper copies of all the stuff that I give you for free. I know you’re all just itching to shower me with your hard-earned cash. If you’re a UK resident, you can go to this shop (which is hosted on my other webcomic Milton’s Life) and if you’re from anywhere else, you should head to this shop. And if you’re a UK resident and you want to buy stuff not just for yourself but as Xmas presents for all your friends, then as long as I get your order in by Thurs 15th (yes, this Thursday), then I’ll get Santa to drop it off. If you’re from anywhere else and you want stuff for Xmas, sorry, but I screwed up and didn’t get the shop ready in time. You could just buy some really, really early presents for 2012 though. Happy browsing shoppers!
