This week’s alt-text joke is a little reference to The Ink Tank, a jolly webcomic that has way better I.T. jokes than this one (and a real live webmonkey). He hasn’t updated too much recently as he’s got a new baby (awwww), but will be doing more soon (yeah!) as he just lost his job (boo!), so why don’t you pay him a visit & let him know you care.
Phew, almost didn’t make it this week, as my poor dear wife has the flu (no, not that one) and free time has been at a premium. I didn’t have time to colour it properly, but decided to add a dash of colour at the end (channelATE style). I was worried that because I was rushing, the artwork would be even lower than my already shoddy standards, but I think it turned out OK. Maybe I should leave things until the last moment more often.
My daughter has recently had her first couple of teeth come out but, thankfully, they’ve all been retrieved. So no need for any tricky explanations…. yet.
I feel like I’m betraying my roots by using the American word ‘Mom’ instead of the British ‘Mum’, but ‘Your Mum’ just doesn’t have the same ring to it. At least I stuck with our (correct) way of spelling colour.
Hey, I don’t really hate vegetarians, but we’ve all been there. Actually, there was one time when a vegetarian tried to get us to go somewhere that served only vegetarian food, as he didn’t like to watch meat be eaten – that was annoying. He ended up eating with just his girlfriend.

So, the last of my redrawn cartoons from my Facebook account. It’ll be brand new cartoons for everybody from here on in (as long I can keep thinking stuff up). With regards to this cartoon, it didn’t feel so long ago that I was firmly in panel 1, but I can now see panel 2 looming on the horizon.

Hey, another “Hitchhiker’s Guide” influenced cartoon (see the previous one here). This is Marvin as portrayed in the original BBC TV series. There is an alternative version here for my international audience (Doesn’t the movie version look a bit like the Mighty Muggs Stormtrooper?) Wow, what a crazy week. First I get a plug from channelATE (cheers Ryan) and then my cartoon The Undead, after a bit of success with Stumbleupon, got picked up by Reddit too and ended up at No.2 on Reddit’s comics page, just behind Wonderwark – gah! Now I know how Ultravox felt about Joe Dolce (nice 80s reference there for my UK readers). It peaked on Wednesday when I got over 16,000 hits and it lead to some lively discussion, as you can see from my comments page & it’s Reddit comments page. I know it’s probably not cool to go on about your own cartoon’s success, but I’m very new to all this and found it very exciting. I seem to have picked up a few more sunscribers too, so “hello there & welcome” if you’re new, hope you like the place. It’s nice to get some attention, but I’m kinda hoping things calm down a bit this week & I don’t foresee today’s cartoon causing too much controversy. It’s yet another one that I’ve redrawn from my Facebook page (I’m running out of those & will have to start thinking up some new ideas soon). I really must practice drawing women – even from the back, she looks like a fella with a wig on.
